"this performance of The Legend of Hagoromo is marvellous" - Keigo Fujii

"imbued with a wonderful sense of fantasy" - Richard Charlton

"Le jeu de Fiona est superbe" - Erik Marchelie

This CD features music by Lou Harrison, Astor Piazzolla, Emilio Pujol, Agustín Barrios Mangoré, Richard Charlton, Erik Marchelie, Antonio Lauro, Richard Charlton and Keigo Fujii. It includes a World premiere recording of The Black Cockatoo Flying Alone and the UK's first recordings of the title track, The Legend of Hagoromo as well as the Bilacus Suite.

Total running time: 59 mins

The calm, reflective opening of Music for Bill and Me flows into the more seductive Oblivion by Piazzolla, the pace picks up for the Pujol El Abejorro and the more traditional Barrios Catedral follows. The Black Cockatoo Flying Alone by Richard Charlton is a world premiere recording, the Bilacus Suite by Erik Marchelie has not been previously been recorded in the UK and neither has the Japanese Legend of Hagoromo. Hagoromo is a substantial addition to the classical guitar repertoire, using guitar techniques in an innovative way, with its evocative mood  appealing to guitarists and non-guitarists alike.
