Lots of concerts in 2025

It’s been a year busy with concerts!

As guest artist with Guitarissimo, I had a fabulous time in January, in Holland, with Peter Constant and Marion Schaap and their adult guitar orchestra. We gave a concert with the full orchestra plus performed as a trio. Of course, I played a solo too…

In February,  Jennifer Janse (cello) and I raised about £2500.00  for the Shere church lighting in a packed out evening concert! Plus later in the year we performed at the Chapel Royal in Brighton to another huge and wonderfully appreciative audience.

In March, one of my pupils held a private event for about 40 enthusiastic attendees, in which I performed an hour of solos followed by Prosecco, her super tasty nibbles and some really unusual Japanese harp music! Not only did she cook but performed some student duos also. We raised about 1.5k for Sight for Surrey. It’s a charity close to my heart.

April started off performing solo at the Dorking Halls for the Dorking Concertgoers. Another packed auditorium of about 200 keen concertgoers and a lovely solo programme for them with lots of new pieces that have become favourites for me.

I nearly forgot, 2024 was rounded off with a dynamic guitar duo concert with Ignacio Barcia. We had such fun preparing and performing our duos – I think that certainly came across!
