Classical Guitarist
Zoom or Skype lessons are a great solution for those who live too far from a suitable teacher.
We can discuss a particular guitar technique that you may be struggling with, further your development of theoretical knowledge and repertoire, or perhaps discuss practice and sight-reading methods.
If you would like to see whether this option works well for you, please do get in contact. We can test the internet connection before arranging a guitar lesson.
All you need for on-line lessons is a computer with webcam, the internet, your guitar and a free download of Skype!
If you’re not currently a Skype user, that’s okay. The software is easy and free to install from www.skype.com
In setting this up, you give yourself a Skype name. We exchange Skype names via email and add each other as contacts in the Skype programme. We can set up a test connection prior to the first lesson in order to check whether the internet connection is reliable and works well.
Lessons are paid via paypal which is also free and easy to use.
You don’t have to set up an account to use the service but it is a very convenient option.
Since the global health crisis of Covid-19, using zoom has become a hugely popular way of working from home or staying in touch with friends. Most of my private lessons moved to Zoom during lockdown and I have found it to be very successful. The software is free to download and use.
